TICKET ARCHIVE -> Maxtor Hd 300gb

HI everyone: I just bought a Maxtor hd 300Gb PATA interfave and when I try to read it it only shows a size od 128 Gb. Is there something to do to fix this?

Hello, based on my experience if you are using a powermac G4 model and below, they can only read a max of 120 GB of HD space. Please tell me the specs of your computer.

HI Jason: I have a G4 Quicksilver 867, but I have already installed a Hd of
250 gb and I did not have any problems like this one.

Hi Enzo. If you don't have data in the drive yet, used Disc Utility to format the HD. Application>Utilities>Disc utility. You can also see how many partition the drive have. Maybe there are 2 partitions and 1 of the partition is not allocated.
