I just downloaded an mdf file (a game) and am unable to open it - what program do I need in order to access this file? Thanks
Hi and welcome to macosx.com
.mdf are images made through pure Windows based burning tools like "Alcohol 120 %" or "MagicIso"
So, the only chance to use it is to burn it correctly on the Windows side as a true ISO compatible image
But, just make a test:
* rename as .iso and double click on it, sometimes it works -especially if you have Toast-
* rename the mdf file to .cdr - this will cause the file icon to change. Then simply rename the .cdr file back to .mdf and double click. The file may opened fine with disk utility
