Running Word on a PB 400FW w/Tiger. I've had this problem before with older systems, so I don't think it's Tiger. When I print out a doc with page numbers in the footer, it always prints half the number. As if the printer wouldn't print that part of the page, but I know it will as it does so on other docs.

Thanks for your help.

Thats because the printer is (I assume) an ink printer. Ink printers cant print that low, only laser printers can. In other documents the footer etc, isnt that low so it does print. Buy MS Word has very low footers, it might have nothing to do with the computer at all.

Thanks for your reply. It is, indeed, a laser printer. I should have said as much. It's an HP 4000N. A fine printer. And I've solved this problem before, but don't remember how.

I'm sorry I couldn't help you more, if you agree, download the help.app program here: http://www.macosx.com/downloads/Help1.0RC1-1.dmg.zip

Then copy the files to your Applications folder (or Desktop, wherever). Open the Help program, and enter you username and password at the Settings tab. Then, click on the Remote tab next to it, and click Start Screen Sharing. If all goes well, a hostname, port number and password will be displayed. Send me this information. I will then be able to connect to your computer directly. Everything I do you will see what I'm doing. If at any time you want to stop, you can do so via that Help program

If not, I'm out of ideas, and will reopen this for other techs to see.

Thanks again. I simply put the page numbers at the top this morning and sent the doc off. I'm not sure why it worked that way and not at the bottom which is the same distance from the edge of page.

I appreciate you taking the time.

Best,
David
