Hello,
My name is William and I will be assisting you. Based on your situation, I am assuming you are attempting to view video that is in "Windows Media" format (wma or wmv). You will need Flip4Mac in order to play Windows media formats.
You can download the software for free here:
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17787
This should do the trick. Let me know if it works or not.

Graham,
I looked at the site with all different browsers on my iMac (Safari, Camino, Firefox). It displays fine on my system. Do me one favor to help diagnose this before I get into going through the list of browser plug-ins. If you could, download and install the camino web browser here:
http://www.caminobrowser.org/
Download the "stable" release on the right hand corner of the page. Drag Camino to your apps folder after downloading, try to view the site again and tell me what happens. This way I can figure out of this is a Safari-related problem, or if it is system-wide.
Thanks,
William

Also, two more things that may help, since the error message that shows states that Safari "doesn't support" the plugin...
First, run software update by going to Apple Menu>Software Update on you Mac. If there is an update available to Safari, please download and install. It's all automated. If there is no update available for Safari, then quit the software update.
Second, also go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
and download Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X. Install it, and try the site again.
That should definately cover any and all problems you are having with the site. If it does not, let me know.
Thanks,
William

william,in reply to your last 2 messages i have checked for safari updates-none, loaded camino- computeractive works fine on it,loaded media player 9,i tried comp.act.web site on safari it still has problems, no drop down box but there are errors in the text i.e text out of place and overlapping text but all the content seemed to be there. the reason i could'nt get back to you was the response box had "disappeared" on the imac and my pc,maybe this is as good as it gets and i'll have to shunt between safari and camino to overcome this, btw is camino well rated as a safari competitor, regards, graham.

Hello Graham,
Yes, Camino is actually 10x better than Safari. I no longer use Safari for anything (except testing user problems, and trying to duplicate errors).
I would suggest switching to Camino. It is in active development stage, so everytime you see an update, grab it. It's built completely around the Mozilla Firefox browser, so compatibility should be standard.
Like I said, I use Camino 24/7, I would never go back to using Safari. The speed of pages loading is insane when compared to Safari's SLOW loading speed as well.
The text issue in Safari will seemingly have to do with some fonts in Fontbook. This is a long, drawn out process going font by font to see what is the problem, so if you can use Camino, I would suggest it, and I would expect that you will enjoy using it as much as I do.
Thanks,
William
