TICKET ARCHIVE -> missing tabs win95

Dear Sir,

Please can help me with my computer problem. I am missing one or two tabs when in control panel I click on the display icon I am missing the settings tab.

Also in control panel when I click on System icon I can only see general and performance tabs.

I have reinstalled Windows 95 from the CD and the video driver’s but to no avail.

Hoping you can help me????

If this is on a network at work you should contact the administrator for access to these features. If not, it sounds like someone used the system policy editor on the win95 disk or altered the registry from the default. First, do a search in Explorer or Start | Find. Search for *.pol. If you find any files of this type they are most likely system policies that control what features you have access to. From the win95 cd go to the admin directory. Then to apptools | poledit. In poledit double click poledit.exe. File | open registry | Local User. These settings can be adjusted using in the display section
