Description:
I just installed a U. S. Robotics 56k modem, but there is no such choice in the modem control panel. Where can I get the correct scrip?

Hello Bob,

I am not certain from your inquiry whether you are talking about your modem SCRIPT or what the choices are in the Modem Control Panel for your particular modem.

You may find it useful to look over the NEW web site which <3Com> has set up now that USR has merged with them. It has quite a lkot of useful info. ther as well as an e-mail address if you find you need it.

The "SCRIPT" will be unique for each particular model of the USR modem and will be listed in the modem insatllation book that came with the modem. It is going to be a number like . It may be a lot longer number but probablyu starts out with AT&F1........

In the Modem Control if you do not see your model you need to open the Mac OS 8.1 HELP menu and type in MODEMS, then it should tell you to "find" Configurations and create a new configuration for your specific modem. Check it out to see if you can locate that HELP in the OS.
