Description:
I would like to know if I can up grade my modem from the present 28-8 to 56k and if I can will it effect any of my present programs also is there anything else I can do to bring my computer to its full potential.I haved already maxed out the memory and just changed my web browser to IE 40.1 thank you

Hi Timothy. welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
You can install an external 56K modem, but first you will have to remove the internal modem(communication card), your user manual should show you how to do this. There is a plastic plug in the external modem port, once you've removed the internal modem, just hook up the external modem and install the software. It will not affect any of your software. I would first remove the modem software already installed.
I haven't seen any upgrades for your processor, so I guess you're maxed out for now.
