Description:
Hi:

I need a bigger monitor for my performa 6320. I want 17".

If I get a monitor with a high resolution, isnt there a possiblity that my mac wont work at that higher resolution? I would have to upgrade my video card for it to work?

I think I have 1mb vram, and its not upgradable according to something I read.

Looking at the control strip, 832x624 at 75 hz seems to be the highest number I see there.. .

this stuff is confusing to me, and ive been using macs for 6 years!

Hi Artie
thank you for using No Wonder!!

You are right when you said that your
6320 1MB Video RAM cannot be upgraded,
but 1MB is fine to run a 17" monitor with
nice resolution as long as you're not
expecting to do a lot of intensive graphics
or high definition 3-D games.

I have a 6360, which is basicly the same as
your 6320 and I have a 17" and love it!!
It all depends in the quality of the monitor
that you buy. Just make sure you get a nice one
and not a cheap-o no-name product and you'll be happy.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!!
;-)
