Description:
Interactive Movie games like Spycraft, Daedalus Encounter, & the Star Trek games quit after a few seconds. All other games and programs are fine. I believe that this is an incompatability between OS 8.1 and my CD-Rom drive. I Tried reinstalling the CD-Rom tool Kit to no avail. I have been told that OS 8.5 may fix this problem. What else can I do, besides reverting back to OS 7.6.1 which seemed to work but gave me fits in other areas, and is old.

Dorian,
I beleive that you need the 7.6.1 ROM drivers to work. Leave your system at 8.1 and install the CDRom drivers from the 7.6 CD and retry.
