i just got a dell laptop, but all 3000 pictures are in iphoto... what is a good way to move them over to my dell??

The best way to do this I think is, if you have a flash drive, copy all of your pictures to the flash drive, by dragging them from the folder there in, and onto the flash drive.
Then insert the flashdrive into your Dell USB Port, and copy them into a folder of your choice.
If you are without a flash drive.
Burn them to a CD through the finder.
P.S. You can find your processor, RAM, and Hardrive information in system profiler, under the utilities folder which is found in the Applications Folder.
