dear Guys

is poss to use an icam with msn messenger. tried to see today with friend who is pc based but make it happen. Do you know if it poss for msm messenger for macs to work in this way?

No. Sorry! You might want to try www.adiumx.com though, it's a whole lot better than the official MSN client.

why is adium better? also, do you think that if you are a microsoft user that msn offer AV link whilst mac users only get IM service?

Adium is better because it has a much more OS-X-like interface, offers tabbed chat windows (I routinely chat to 15+ people simoultaneously), and it supports aliasing, so you can assign names to appear on your contact list instead of display names, something i find important because i have 300+ contacts and might get confused otherwise!! Give it a go, I've been using it since V.65 and have never switched despite trying out lots of alternatives.
And yes, you will only get MSN AV using Windows. I think Yahoo messenger does cross-platform video chat though...!
