Is it possible to add emoticons other than what're currently built in with the MSN Messenger for mac osx? if it is possible, please advise on how to add the emoticons. thx

Not wth the default MSN Messenger application.
You may wish to consider alternative applications like Adium (http://www.adiumx.com) or Proteus (http://www.defaultware.com/proteus/) which both allow you to use the MSN Messenger network (therefore allow you to communicate with friends using Messenger) but are much more customiseable and offer many additional features missing from the MSN Messenger application
