TICKET ARCHIVE -> Msn Messenger For Mac

Ok, I'm trying really hard not to get irritated here... I want to get MSN Messenger, the newest one 7.5 (I think). All I can seem to get on my iBook is 'Microsoft Messenger 5.0'. I don't understand why the same version is available for Mac, I was talking online with some friends, and I've got none of the features they do. I don't know if I'm just not searching for it right, or what the deal is. Please someone help me, I love my laptop, but getting frustrated that I can't chat like everyone else.

You would have to talk to Microsoft about the updates and various versions. The latest version for Windows is version 8 here - http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/19663
And that is only for Windows.
Here's the latest Messenger for Mac, which as you know is version 5

Not too well liked these days....

Another better IM agent is Adium http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/23031

Both of these will work with MSN messenger logins...

Thanks for getting back so soon! I really like the Windows version, everyone I talk to online has it, and not to sound like a child, but I want those cool features too! LOL

I have Adium and I do like it, just was hoping for something I could participate in with friends, like the MSN. I will be checking out Fire in a minute.

I can't believe that Microsoft has such a crappy messenger for Mac! :P
