TICKET ARCHIVE -> MSN Messenger Keeps Signing Me out

Hi,

I recently installed MSN Messenger For Mac Ver 5.1.1 on my Macbook. It worked fine the first two days, but now it's constantly signing me out and I have no idea why. I don't think it's a problem with my internet connection because I can download song files without problems. Can you help me?

Hi Audrey,

I myself have had this very problem and it is very common with mac users im afraid. I think it stems from microsoft possibly not supporing mac:msn anymore.

If you are connecting to msn but just getting logged off after a while then it seems you dont have a problem with your firewall.

Personally the only way i managed to get round the problem was to change from MSN messenger to a free msn client called adium.

It essentially does the same job as msn messenger but has a slightly different and fully customisable interface. You can also manage multiple msn addresses, jabber, AOL, Yahoo, Bonjour, Google Chat (the list is endless), plus since switching i have not been logged off once.
