Hi and welcome in macosx.com

In MsnMessenger > Preferences > Accounts, do you set up the "I use a proxy" settings ?
On my home Mac, I do not have a proxy, but on my office W2000, yes, and Msn works fine under the office's proxy.

As an alternative to Messenger, you can have a look to Adium or aMsn.

Philippe

Trying MsnWebMessenger
1. On the "System Preferences" click on "Sharing." Then the "Firewall" tab. Make sure that it says "Firewall Off." If that's not the case, press the "Stop" button to turn it off.
If you use Firefox, goes to step 2 but when you'll see the message that FireFox has blocked pop-up, right click on the Firefox bar message, disable the popup for the site and reload the site

2. Try a web messenger just to see what happens: Open Safari, and click on "Safari" on the top menu and uncheck "block pop-up windows" (don't do anything if it's already unchecked). Then go to webmessenger.msn.com. Ignore the "Your web browser is not supported by this version of MSN Web Messenger" message; click on Connect and sign in.

Can you use it ?

Regards
Philippe
