hi, i am a new mac user and i was very dissapointed when i realized then msn messenger for mac does not have a lot of the normal features of msn. i downloaded it anyway, but now my msn is givaing me a lot of problems. it suddenly logs out and i cant log in again even if i shut my laptop down and retry. i tried downloading a newer version but the same problem happened. i heard about aMSN bit im not sure if they have that for mac OS X 10.3.3. iBook G4. i am very unfamiliar with macs and to be honest computers in general. pls help. why does my msn keep on logging out and disconnecting? my internet connection is fine. thanks.

Good thing that MSN messenger is not the only choice with chat and IM apps. try Adium X, or aMSN would be OK, or iChat (installed on your Mac already), or AIM, or Mac Messenger, or many others...
Go to versiontracker.com, and do a search for chat, or instant messenger, and look at the long list that turns up. There must be 30 or 40 chat-type programs. Adium X is usually ranked at the top, and a few others may be single purpose, limited use.
Don't limit yourself to something that Microsoft just jumbles together and throws at the Mac user. Many have higher standards than that

Glad to help. Do try some of the other alternate IMs, especially Adium, and see what you think.
