Hi, I would try reinstalling AOL first, you may want to go download the aol 4.0, it takes up way less memory than aol 3.0. I know AOL is always making changes to their system especially making way for the new version, this may be why the occasional hangs, I had them with 3.0 also. Cleaning your computer is always a fantastic idea, dumping your internet cache, your windows tmp files, emptying the recycle bin and deleting any programs you do not use, even the preloaded garbage that comes with the computer that you never use, then doing a scandisk and defrag, your computer will work like a top when done. You should do this monthly anyway to keep your computer running good.
