Description:
I seem to have changed something in the way Explorer works and I cannot get it to change back.

I used to double click folders in the right pane of the Explorer window and they would open in the same right pane. Now I double click folders in the right pane and they open another window with a small icon view. If I then double click a folder in the new window it opens inside that window with the same small icon view - it does not open another window.

If I double or single click a folder in the left pane the folder opens in the right pane which is what it always did - I just got used to double clicking in the right pane and not having a new window open.

I tried the Browse folders using a separate window and Browse folders using a single window choices under My Computer-View-Options but it does not seem to solve the problem.

Any idea of how to get things back the way they were? Perhaps some tweak of the Registry?

Using Win95 retail version 4.00.95a

Thanks!

In Windows Explorer, choose "View|Options|File Types". Navigate (Scroll) to the "Folder" icon, and double click. Change the default to be "Open", not "Explore".
