Do you really mean "mwv"?, which is the extension of MovieWorks, or did you intend to type "wmv"? for Windows Media Video.

There is currently no way to open Windows Media files on Intel-based Macs, except in Windows Media Player in Windows, if you have Windows installed. You're waiting for Flip4Mac to introduce a Universal binary of its WMV Components for QuickTime.

I apologize. Windows Media Player *does* work in Rosetta. You just can't view Windows Media Video in Safari unless you run Safari in Rosetta, too; instead, have to wait for WMP to open separately.
