Hi everybody!
I'm newbie in MacOsX, so sorry if this question is too dumb...
When I try to store some mp3 in my USB MP3 using my PowerBook, Finder says "The operation cannot be completed because the disk is full"!! Obviously this is not true, the MP3 is completely empty!!
Can anybody tell me what is wrong??
Thank you!

Hi Victor,
What specific model and brand of MP3 player do you have?

The MP3 is a INOVIX 33B 512MB.
I think that this is a file system problem (Windows based I think...)

How are you trying to put music into it? Can you use iTunes? What version of Mac OS X are you running?
I'd suggest trying to see if you can upgrade the firmware at

Hi Kevin,
first of all, thanks for your interest on helping me.
I'm trying to put music inside usign Finder.
I don't really know if I can use iTunes, but I don't think it. I've tried to download a new Firmware, but to install it it has a .exe file (Window$$$$)...

Ok try this - select the mp3 player in the Finder. Then go to File > Get Info. What does it say for capacity? What does it say for available memory?

I've done it before, it says that there is no space available (512MB used), and that's not true.

Hmm well something is taking up that space. The Finder doesn't usually lie about that file space
Double click your MP3 player. What files are located inside it?

Well, I think that the problem is the filesystem. Using the Disk Utility, I tryed to erase everything inside the MP3, and then I've been able to add songs using finder. But when I turn on the MP3, it says that the filesystem is not correct...

Hm that could be the problem. Generally Disk Utility isn't good for reformatting non-hard drive devices. Have you tried contacting the company that makes the MP3 player for the suggested way to use it in Mac OS X?
