TICKET ARCHIVE -> Myst IV

I want to play Myst IV Revelation on my new intel iMac, but whilst it installs it does not play...has anybody else had this problem or could offer me a solution! (I want to play this one before getting Myst V!)

Hi,
Have you downloaded the update for Myst IV yet? You can get it here:

Install it and try to run, let me know if it works or not!

Hi there Jason...thanks for your response...I downloaded that from the link you sent me...but it still doesn't work.

Can you tell me what happens, when you try to launch it does it just quit right away or does the game open and nothing happens type of thing?

I am wondering if its not compatible with the new intel macs for some reason. Thats why I ask.

My suspicions were correct, Myst IV and V will not play on intelmacs, here is the reference I found:

"I had recently bought the games Myst IV and Myst V from UBIsoft-intending to play them on our new computer. But after installing Myst IV and having it not play, I had to call UBI Soft (at my own expense) to find out that neither Myst IV nor Myst V will play on the Intel-platform iMacs. And UBISoft has no intentions of updating those games to Universal Binary."
