I have a wireless router (wifi) and a PC laptop. I would like to share files with my MAC and print doc's located on the PC on the printer attached to the MAC. A friend showed me how to do this some time ago but I did not take good notes and can not figure it out. Please help.

If you are using a different OS X version, look around on that site for more guides.

Sorry Felix,
I was detained for a bit - I am back at tring to network my Mac and PC.
I am stumped at the first instruction "Ensure that first each of the computers can access your network. Ensure that the IP address of each computer shares the same subnet, ie 10.0.1.x or 192.168.0.x or whatever!" Where do I look for this?

(I'm not Felix)
On a Mac, you find the IP address in System Preferences > Network. On a PC, you find that in Connect to > Show all connections > right-click >Status of the network connection.

I have very little experience with networking. The IP address on my MAC was easy to find. It is 192.168.2.9 The address on the PC is mysterious at best. I could not find "Connect to > Show a...." I did find an IP address in the Network Connections window under "LAN or High-Speed Internet" it is 192.168.2.23 Am I looking in the correct place? Do either of these addresses need to be changed? How do I do that? I do use the wi-fi in the PC to get on my wireless router and when I am traveling.

Since the IP addresses start with 192.168.2, they are in the same subnet. You don't need to change anything.

I really like the iFelix guides!

note - use a postscript driver on the PC, because the Mac expects to receive postscript. On XP, the Apple Color Laserwriter xx is a good postscript driver.
