Ever since the system (G5 OS 10.4) did a software update to flash player 9 many web sites have stopped working properly - instead of getting a video playing in a wiindow I get that Q with a ? across it.
Tried going onto the Adobe site - reloading the osx version of the player - no difference.
Help please ?

Have you tried using Firefox instead of Safari (as an internet browser)?
You can download firefox from
http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/.
Let me know if this helps.

I have Firefox - the same problem is there. Something weird - as I checked Firefox. I tried a site that uses zoomify. No joy - same Q?. Only I had this working last week. I went to the adobe site - downloaded macpc version of flash player and the zoomify worked. Problem solved I thought. But without doing anything more - it's not working again along with a ton of other sites. So the problem must be something to do with how it runs or is configured. But I can't guess what or how.

I got a reminder to respond but my response is in the thread above. I missed something ? Still stuck with zoomify under Firefox not working, but today one of the sites that didn't work seems to working again. Aargh.

went onto Adobe site again - suggested removing then reloading flash player. No difference.Forum full of people with similar problems - no one coming up with any answers. Firefox certainly works better. Not impressed with Adobe - all the web sites set up on Safari - saved addresses, pass words - wasted effort . And this is an upgrade ?!
Why am I getting daily reminders to respond to tech ? I've given three responses now - how about me getting a response ?

Try creating a new account, and test sites on that. This will help determine if the errors are caused by a local or global setting.
