Knowledge Level: I'm New!
Problem: Combination
Computer Type: Apple
Model: G3/333 mhz
RAM: 65+
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8.5.1

Description:
Since connecting my new G3, I'm getting postscript errors on both my HPLaserjet and Epson 3000. Faxes print ok, but anything that the computer has to "set" itself either doesn't work or takes a very very long time.

I have downloaded the very latest drivers for both printers. I've tried both ATM off and on. I've tried it where the fonts are directly in the system folder and with ATM Deluxe handling them. My ATM Deluxe is 4.03.

I can't even get simple reports from Quickbooks to print. When I check the status window it says "being processed." But nothing happens. Sometimes, if I wait 10-15 minutes the document will then print.

Before I check with Apple Tech Support, I thought you guys might have an idea of what is going on. Both printers were working beautifully with my 8500 running 8.1. Is it hardware or software. I wonder;-)

Thanks

Hi welcome to Nowonder

The HP drive is not compatible with Sys 8.5.1 - you need to install the new Apple Laserwriter drive 8.6.1 - I don't know about the Epson. I believe I read where there was a problem with quickbooks and printing. You may want to check out the http://www.macfixit.com site - just type in QuickBooks - I am sorry normally I do look it up and find and type it for our Nowonder questions, but I am in between jobs and don't have enough time, and thought it might lead you there first. Let me know. Best regards sharona@nowonder
