I suddenly started to get the message ""You can not print"" on 3 different printers. At the same time I couldn't open any of the Adobe CS2 apps. I re-installed OS 10.4 and this fixed the problem except that I now some preferences and print drivers to reset.

If this happens again, which I think I can expect, is there another less drastic way to fix the problem? I did try restarting, but I didn't think that just reloading CS2 would help bring my printing service back.

Thank you

I would also like to know why the Adobe CS2 Programs didn't open?

Thank you

A few things to try first:

1. repair permissions: apps/utilities/disk utility/repair permissions
2. move cs pref and plist files to trash so they are recreated when the apps are restarted (search for 'illustrator', etc. and grab the .plist and .pref files you find

Let me know if this fixes it, if not, you may need to delete your printers and re add them to the queue.

This will be a big help next time it happens, I fixed it this time by reloading the operating system. I am making copies of my adobe prefs so things will be tthe same after I need to delete them.

I will see to that my company makes a donation

Thank You very much
