Description:

Dear Andy,
Tried new fonts, they are all underlined. How would I reinstall the note pad file and start all over from scratch?
Thanks,
Dan

Howdy! I'm not Andy, but hopefully this will help. How depends slightly on what version of the system you are using. In general, simply insert the system CD that came with your computer, start the installer and choose custom install. Then choose only what you need; some version offer more flexibility here than others. In OS 8 you should find Notepad under Apple Menu Items in the custom install screen. At worst. Just make sure you have a backup copy of your old system, install a new system, and just drag that copy of notebook to the original system folder's Apple Menu Items and trash the new one.

There might be an easier way, though. I don't have your original post, so I don't know what the original problem was, but this might help as well. Copy everything in the notepad that you want to save into a wordprocessing or text document (such as Word or SimpleText) and save it. Then go into your system folder and throw away Note Pad File. Restart and launch Notepad. If that helped then just copy everything from the document you saved back into the note pad.

Hope that helps. Thanks for using NoWonder.
