I am trying to watch online video clips from sites like bigboys.com and my macosx 10.3 won't do it. Do I need MS based programs for some online content? I downloaded the Quicktime Mpeg add-on to my QT 7 and am waiting for the QTPro version in the mail. Will the pro version help?

The MPEG-2 add-on probably won't help you for online content. Sites generally choose among QuickTime, RealPlayer, and Windows Media for their clip formats. If you direct me to the location of the clip that isn't working for you, I can help you troubleshoot.

Ben,
The site
www.big-boys.com has a number of video clips to choose from on its opening page. I'm not sure if it is just this site, or online clips in general, but I have not been able to view them since I got a mac (iBook G4).
Thanks,
Klayton

The clips are simple Windows Media Video files. So you can tell when you open Safari's Activity Viewer window. I don't know whether Safari will load the Windows Media plug-in properly, however Internet Explorer will. You might have to have first installed Windows Media Player. QT Pro won't make a difference, because QuickTime can't handle Windows Media formats.

Ok, thanks. I'll give that a try.
