Hello. I tried to install Onyx 1.8.3 on my iMac (intel core 2 duo, 2GB Ram, OS X 10.4.10) but it won't start, it gives me instead a series of error messages about Applescript. I had installed Onyx before and it worked perfectly, but only after I tried to repair my HD did this problem start.

My dictionary widget and world clock widget are not working properly. the dictionary widget is invisible, won't appear on the dashboard. My world clock widget appears, but with no time pointers. only the hour digits (1 to 12) but nothing else. I tried to delete the widget-com and dashboard plist files to no avail. any help you might be able to offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Hello! Have you repaired permissions yet?

Hi, thanks for responding. Actually the reason I was trying to run Onyx was to repair permissions on the disk. But yes I have repaired permissions using disk utility, I did that twice, once from my iMac's own disk utility, and once after I hooked up the iMac to my Macbook via Firewire in target disk mode. Both procedures didn't appear to help the issues at hand. thank you

Are you sure you have 1.8.3? I can only find 1.8.2 on macupdate. Other users have the same Applescript issue you mention. Read more here:

Looks like the error isn't corrected yet. You might try going back to 1.8.1 till the software's author fixes the bug.
