TICKET ARCHIVE -> Opening Attachments

Description:
I would like to know what to do to open attachments that I receive via email. I have Eudora Light 3.1.1. When I double-click the icon on the message, it sometimes opens Adobe Reader but a dialog box pops up which says "There was an error opening this document. File does not begin with '%PDF-.' Sometimes it goes to documents and Clarisworks opens but nothing else happens. Mostly it says file cannot be opened since application program that created it could not be found.
Help will be appreciated.

Hi Nancy and welcome to No Wonder!
Open the Mac OS Easy Open control panel and click on the "delete preferences" button.
DO you have a copy of Stuffit Expander?
If you do not, get a copy from here
http://www.aladdinsys.com
Go to the attachments file in the Eudora folder and drag the attachment on to the Stuffit Expander icon.
It should decode/unstuff the file into a usuable format.
If it is a text document, run ClarisWorks and then open the attachment from within ClarisWorks.
If it is an image use a program like GraphicConverter to open the attachment.
