DESCRIPTION:

i'm a beginner and am trying to learn to open files and documents. got an attachment with e mail and clicked on the paperclip and got the dropdown file clinton.doc and clicked on the icon and opened a file but it only had a few words and lines and lines of little boxes. please tell me what i need to do to open files like this. i have windows 95. thanks

Hi Monika!

.doc files are Microsoft Word format. If you don't have MSWord you can get the latest version of the free Word Viewer from Microsoft at http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/is.../wd97vwr32.exe Which will enable you to view/print MSWord Documents created with any version of MSWORD.
