Description:
I'm using OS 8.5 on a G3 266 MT
When I go to the "find file" I get 3 options. The "old" file find, the new "search by content", and the "search the Internet."
Under "Search the Internet".... is there a way to add additional sites to search??

Dear Marty Biviano,
The new find feature built into OS 8.5 that you describe is called "Sherlock." The "Apple-Donuts" web site contains a listing of Sherlock plugins that let you add additional sites to the internet search. You can find the site here:
. There are presently about 190 plugins listed there. Here is a portion of the description from the above URL:
"The files on this page (once downloaded and installed)
will let you search more than the few sites Apple provides
with the 8.5 installer. To use these files just drop them
into the "Internet Search Sites" folder in your system
folder and then open Sherlock."
If you drag any downloaded plugin (any ".src" file) over your system folder icon, a dialog box should appear offering to place the plugin into the appropriate folder.
