Background:
I recently got broadband internet. It's a wireless provider using motorola's canopy system. I've had it for about two months and just recently i realized that there are a lot of sites i can't visit.

What i tried:
At first i was really upset, thinking that my ISP was limiting what sites i could go to, but then i tried another computer on the network, running windows XP, and the site loaded perfectly. So i tried using Btunnel, a proxy site, and i could access the site from my mac mini. I tried safari, firefox, and internet explorer on my mac and none of them worked. I am trying to access www.unitednuclear.com . I know i was able to access this site before i got broadband, and i sure don't think i installed anything that would change that. The only thing i can think of is Peerguardian, but it's not running, and it shouldn't mess with that stuff at all right?

Thanks a lot.

It could be a firewall issue as it appears to affect all browsers or it could be netowrking. What error message do the browsers throw up and do you have problems getting to any other site ?

I can't go to www.unitednuclear.com or www.cnet.com , but i can go to www.download.com which is by cnet. Safari gives me

"Safari can’t connect to the server.
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.cnet.com/” because it could not connect to the server “www.cnet.com”."

and firefox says

"The connection was refused when attempting to contact to www.cnet.com."

So far those are the only two sites i've noticed it on.

I can't imagine it being a networking problem because i have DHCP turned on and both computers getting internet from the same router.
I sure don't think i've installed any firewall.... i know for sure i didn't install one intentionally. I also turned off the os x firewall.

thanks
