I'm updating to Leopard on my iBook and thinking about getting a webcam. Can you use Youtube QuickCapture on a Mac

Yes, you can! I just tried it and it worked. It detected my built-in iSight and microphone, so it does work!

Have fun and enjoy your "new" mac! :-)

I'm not sure, but I'll reopen your ticket so others can have a look and if someone has, they can respond.

Take care!

I have never used it but as far as I can tell Quick Capture lets you record videos directly off your webcam or any camera connected to your computer (this apparently includes Apple iSights and just about any other camera that your computer can directly use to record.

For making most of a webcam on an iBook I recommend the following pieces of software

Macam, free from here - http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/ supports a huge slew of cameras including many cheaper "windows only" ones, and also is often better than the drivers supplied with cheaper "Mac compatible" ones

iChatUSBCam http://www.ecamm.com/mac/ichatusbcam/ which costs a measly $10 and makes many USB cams available in iChat worth every penny...
