Hello.
I have just purchased a 20" IMac (which runs on 10.4 Tiger) and installed Quark 5.0. I have had to also install Classic on the machine for both Quark and Acrobat 5 to work as they don't run on OS X.
When I 'export to PDF', it goes through all the motions of creating a PS and then Distilling, but when the job has finished, the PDF does not show up anywhere on the system.

I have found on your site that Jeremy has had the exact same problem (question dated May 8 2005, 9:12pm).

I was wondering if this can be solved at all as I did not find an answer from Jeremy's situation.

Any help would be very appreciated as I use this funtion all the time (on my other machine).

Yours gratefully
Byl...

Are you saying that the exported PDF just disappears? Have you tried Spotlight to search it out?

I think the solution to this is:
QuarkExpress 6.5
Adobe Acrobat 7

Perhaps not workable in your situation, but it's a solution. Both are now fully OS X functional, without struggling with the extra layer of Classic. I have tried to search this out. Some users do not have problems, others really struggle with the generation of software that you now are using.

This isn't really a help, I guess, just another voice adding to the chorus 'Now is the the time to upgrade!'

Thanks Dale,
Yes, I have tried Spotlight (how quick is that!), but it does not show up.
Oh well... I guess an upgrade might be the go.
More money...

Do you know if this 'Jeremy' character got his working?
(refer question dated May 8 2005, 9:12pm).
