I downloaded this from the download website but do not understand how to open it. When I double clicked it it asked what application I wanted to use to open it. Please tell me what to do to make it work.
Hi Ryan, my name is Dale, and I'll try to help you.
First, a question - What type of software is Osex 0.0110a1?
What is its function?
What site did you download it from?
If this is a Windows app, that could explain your question.
Let me know what you find out...
- Dale
It is a DVD decryption software and I downloaded it from a Mac site that linked me to maxosx.com for tech support.
Oh sure, ripping support software !
That software (0sex) seems to be dead, hasn't been updated in over 3 years. The developer site is just a list of FTP folders, with no development news or any support links. You got to this site (and to me) through a generic support link to this volunteer site (MacOSX, com). I can't help you with 0sex in any specific way, other than to share my experience and opinion.
I tried the 0sex software, and it doesn't appear to work with OS X 10.4.
Were you able to unstuff the file? It should create a folder with the Osex app, and a read-me file.
Have you tried MacTheRipper?

It looks like the ripping software is going away... I tried to access a support web page for MacTheRipper, and got a 'Sorry to inform you that this site has been taken down as requested by Macrovision Corporation'. This is the company that creates the encryption software/copy-protection for DVDs (as well as other copy protection) Looks like their legal department is busy...
Ah, thank you for the help. I got a kid at work to unstuff the file for me. I will try MacTheRipper. Once again, thanks a lot for the help.
