I used disk warrior that my girl friend had bought for her ibook . after every thing was rebuilt and i was propted to restart, i got a grey screen, after that i got a mac os 9 folder icon that just sits there my g4 is running osx 10.3.9 server and never had os9 installed, not only that it will not boot of the orginal install cds either , it just seems to hang on that gray screen .. whats going on i have never had a problem with my mac ever. I even took an os 9 orginal cd and tried to boot from that figureing if i cvould just get to the disk utlity or change the start up disk every thing would be ok but it just hangs there .

Esekiel, welcome on macosx.com

If you try to boot while holding the X key ?
While holding the option key and select the startup disc from the incoming screen ?

Which release of DW do you use ??

thanks i actually figured it out in the middle of the night, by holding the command option shift delete keys entering the password and then chooseing the main harddrive . i made the mistake of seting disk warrior 3.02 as start up disk instead of rebooting holdeing the c key ... i had tryed the X key but that didnt work ...

thanks so much
