OSX 10.4.3. Illustrator Command Key (Apple) Shortcut Does Not Work

Command Key works OK in all other apps, except in Illustrator CS (11.0). Everything else in Illustrator works just fine.

Thanks.

Keyboard shortcuts don't work in Adobe applications (Mac OS X v10.3)

Adobe applications manage application keyboard shortcuts using a nonsystem keyboard shortcut handler. If you've defined custom keyboard shortcuts using Mac OS X v10.3 (Panther) Keyboard Shortcut preferences, you may experience unexpected results using keyboard shortcuts in Adobe applications.

To ensure proper keyboard shortcut behavior in an Adobe application, choose Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts, and redefine the desired shortcuts. For more information about keyboard shortcuts, see the Adobe application's Help. For information about function keys, see Related Records.

I see you are using Tiger, 10.4.3 but apparently this is a Mac thing period. You might try posting at the Apple Discussion boards under Tiger and see if one of their experts can help. Here is the link:

Adobe is stupid.

They say I could go into Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts... and modify my shortcuts.
Now, they accept only shortcuts that start with "Cmd modifier".

How can I change anything than, when my Cmd DOES NOT work. Hellooo...Duh!

They say I could go and check application's help menu... Well, why the heck I had to go online web site then... Heloooo, aplication's help is Help only in name and nothing else.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help with this. v.

HI Venice,

I wish I had a better answer for you. Try posting over at Apple... lots of graphics users there and someone might just have an answer.

Do you think an AppleScript could work for this??
