Hi Rick,
My name is John, and I'll try to help you out here.
I need to get some more information from you about your setup to answer your question/problem.
What version of FileMaker are you running? 7? 6?
Are you sharing databases with others from the OS X server? If so, how many people? And, just to be clear, are you running this in Peer-to-Peer sharing?
Are there any other services being used on the server (File Sharing, Backup, etc.)?
If you can let me know more details, I can make better recommendations.
Thanks.

I think i have found the problem, there were some problems where we couldn't log on to the server from certain ip address's, so I switched the server to Wireless connection, changed the Ethernet ip address, restarted changed the ip address back to the original, restarted and that has fixed the problem. I am not sure if it was a corrupt ip stack or routing table however its is working fine now.

Hi Rick,
Glad it has worked out for now. I recommend that you look into a copy of FileMaker server. It's really the safest way to serve FileMaker databases to multiple users. I'm not an employee or anything, just been administering FileMaker for a number of years.
I'll go ahead and close the ticket.
