Description:
You helped me tremendously a few weeks back; now I have another problem.

I recently bought a G3 Powerbook which I truly enjoy - in every respect but one. The resolution is 1024x786, which makes for relatively small icons, windows, and writing. Too small for comfort with 69-year-old eyes. I much prefer the 832x624 resolution that I have on the desktop for my Mac 7300/17" Sony Trinitron combination. (I have, in fact, a choice of three resolutions, but I prefer the middle range.)

The smallness of the Powerbook desktop and window elements shows up particularly when, as a free lance writer, I do word processeing. I have sort of a workaround, in that I enlarge the type in my document and sometimes even bold face it. But that's really pretty lame since I no longer know accurately the number of pages I've written. And it only helps in respect to word processing.

Is there any way to accomplish a 832x624 or similar resolution? The "Help" and guide procedure was no help at all. I don't know if any software can solve the problem, and if it can I don't know where to find it.

Thanks for any assistance you can render.

Try connecting the Sony Trinitron Monito to the Display port on the back of the G3 Notebook and adjust the resolution thru the control strip. You should also be able to adjust the resolution on the built in display in the same manner to 832X624
