I have a Panasonic X700 cell phone which I wish to connect to my new G4 Mac laptop so I can access the internet on my boat.
Both have Bluetooth but someone told me that only Sony Ericsson cell phones can be used with Mac laptops.
Could you advise correct situation.

Not quite your question, but it shows direct support for your phone for some use.
This should also mean that you can setup your bluetooth phone, by configuring the bluetooth setup in your Internet Connect application.
Go to your Mac Help for Internet Connect for more info on setting up your Bluetooth device to provide you with an internet connection.
