I am currently running Parallels on my 2gb Macbook however when i start a game called Final Fantasy XI or any game for that matter everything is very slow and choppy. I set the windows memory at 1528 ram and the graphics card at 64mb but for some reason it still moves slow. The game min requirements are lower than what I am providing and yet it is still slow and very choppy. Is there a way I can increase the speed of my Windows XP parallels and slow down Mac in order to make the speed of xp a lot faster? And if there isn't a way, is there a way I can install bootcamp 1.3 beta but link it to my already windows xp hard drive since I do not want to lose my files.

Thanks

If Parallels Desktop has a weak area, it is video. The virtualized environment does not fully use the hardware video, so gaming will be directly affected. The best way to run games on your system will be to boot directly into Windows, which will mean using Boot Camp. Most versions of Boot Camp beta have now expired, and the last (vers 1.4) will not be usable after Dec 31, 2007. If you want to try Boot Camp, upgrade to Leopard. The Leopard installer disk has updated drivers for Windows.
Keep in mind that your MacBook is already at a disadvantage for gaming by sharing video memory with the main memory. The newest MacBooks with the GMA X3100 graphics processor, are much improved for gaming.
Boot Camp has to have Windows installed on an internal hard drive, on its own partition. Once you complete that install, you can use that Boot Camp partition with Parallels, if you want that as a choice.
