my daughter has a blueberry imac with os 9.2 installed. she reset her password on it and now it won't accept a password at all. we have no cd for it. is there a way to clear or reset the password so she can get into it?

Tray a hardware reset as outlined by Apple in it's support pages (the method is specific for each G4 model). If you still can't get it to boot, I would try to hook it up to another Macintosh in "Target" mode so that you can copy your irreplaceable files, then do a reinstall of your OS and update to 10.4.7 using the downloadable combo updater on Apple's download pages.
HTH and please let us know what happens. Thanks.

I the machine will boot while holding the Shift key down, then you can trash the Multiple User preference file and it should boot normally without a password.

Ok, then you'll need an OS 9.x system disc ot get in and delete that preference file.
