PC to Mac network printing

I followed all the instructions on sharing the printer that is connected to my pc to network it to my mac. i'll find the computer on the network neighborhood on my mac printer setup but no printer shows up. what can i do? all the other pc's in the house are able to connect to the printer except the mac. the printer that i have, incase it makes a difference, is the HP OfficeJet 6110xi. Thanks. hope anyone knows what can be done.

OS X network printing requires CUPS drivers. HP doesn't provide CUPS drivers for OS X (Only Brother makes CUPS drivers so far). You'll need third-party drivers - install hpijs and ESP ghostscript from:
http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/hpijs/
