The built-in enet in my G4 is physically damaged and until I can get it fixed I need to get online. I bought a D-Link DFE-530TX+ PCI Network Card. It came with OS X drivers. I installed the card into a free PCI slot (since have tried multiple slots), installed the package for the drivers and restarted the computer. I go to System Preferences > Network, but I do not see it in any drop down menu's. I have Built-In Ethernet and Internal Modem as the only options. How can I get this working?

Running 10.2.3

I went to the D-link website and the card that you bought is listed on line as not supporting Mac OS X. Hopefully you can return it to the seller for a refund.

There are plenty of Mac OS X ethernet PCi cards available. I've successfully used an Asante Fast 590 pci ethernet card in my Quicksilver 2002 PowerMac G4.

Cheers,
Rob

Sorry about that - I missed the plus at the end of the name. I'll send your problem back to the pool for some real help.

Cheers,
Rob
