PCMCIA card will not work with your Powerbook G4. You need either a Airport Extreme card or a Airport card if you are attempting to get a wireless connection for the Powerbook G4. ( Tell me the model and I can look it up. Powerbook G4 - Speed? Go to the Apple in the upper left corner, choose "about this Mac" then choose "More Info". Copy and paste the first block of lines into your next response please.

What is this "Firelight" drive? Might you have a link I could view the specs?
It uses USB and not Firewire?
You are connecting it directly to the computer, and not though another device, like a USB hub or extra keyboard, right? Have you tried to view it using Disk Utility? ( Disk Utility is located at ---> HD\Applications\Utility\Disk Utility , or you can do a sherlock search for it )

Have you used this drive on any other computers? Mac? PC? Can they see it now?

Have you checked the companies website to see if there might be driver downloads for Mac OS X ?

What happens when you connect it?
