Nothing in this link is for OS X. I should have specified I'm using 10.4.3.
Already been to Epson on this to no avail.

That means they aren't supporting this scanner with OS X.

However, you can load the driver in OS 9 and use classic photoshop in order to use your scanner.

I'd rather not use the scanner than do that. It's not really a viable solution. I know there is an OSX plug-in, because, as I say, I have used it. Maybe the plug-in structure has not changed and this would work in OSX?

If you used the extension, it would be on epson's website more than likely since they don't have any os x software.

However, in 10.3 there was native support for your scanner (epson 2200): http://www.apple.com/macosx/upgrade/scanners.html
That's probably how you were able to use your scanner. It's possible there is no tiger support for it now, since you can't use it.

Here's a program called VueScan that give you OS X software to use almost any scanner. Check it out here:

OK, I see an Epson scanner SOMETHING in the image capture library. It says it's an app and it's 13.7mb. But double clicking does nothing. It's not a Photoshop plug-in. What is it and how is it used? I'm clueless.

What exactly did you download? What's its "dot extension"? Ie. pdf files have the filename.pdf…fill me in.

I'm talking about a file named "Epson Scanner" which is listed as an application (no extension) under Library/Image Capture/Devices. It is apparently installed with the system installation.

Reread my posts for the answer to your question.

Tiger no longer supports your scanner, whereas Panther did. So, you have to get another program to communicate with your scanner unless you can use PHotoshop's TWAIN/ACQUIRE feature.

That program I mentioned VueScan might work for you, however they don't show they support your scanner. Tiger doesn't have a built in driver for your scanner anymore, and Epson doesn't have Tiger support for your scanner either. Call Epson to see if they are working on one.

I'm afraid you might be out of luck on this one.
