Description:
I have recently installed Os 8.5 . I have been unable to access sites found by Sherlock. I get this alert: " Unable to open your browser because an unexpected error occurred". I have AOL 4.0 and also use a cable modem at home which has Internet explorer 4.0 as browser. I installed the update= 8.5.1, but no luck.
Another problem:
My Powerbook 3400/200/256L2 slows down immensely evrytime I have it networked with an Imac at work via an Asante ethernet hub. This has happened only since I installed OS 8.5. I thought file sharing would be 5 times faster with OS 8.5, but the opposite has happened.

Hi welcome to Nowonder
Sherlock takes a lot of memory especially when you have a lot of plugins try doubling the allocated memory to sherlock.
Also there is an update to Apples File Sharing that may help. You can get this at http://www.info.apple.com just go to there update site. Best regards sharona@nowonder
