Description:
I want to replace the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen and followed the directions in the "Quick Tips Book" but all I get is a rectangle full a black and white shapes.
What did I do wrong?

Hi Noah and welcome to No Wonder!

We are not affiliated with MacHome so I do not know what is in the Quick Tips Book.

Download GraphicConverter from here
http://www.lemkesoft.de

and open the file you wish to be used as the startup screen. Now save the file in Startup Screen format and place it in the System Folder.
