Hi. I'm going to be selling a G3 Powerbook Pismo soon. I upgraded it to 1 GB RAM, and a 100GB hard drive. I took the old built in HD and put it in an external case to uise it as a USB external. My question is this : is there any way I can copy the files and operating system from the old 4GB to the 100GB I installed? Or, if not. If there is no OS installed on the computer, would I be able to install Tiger again without any previous operating systems installed? Here are the specs of the computer once again.
Model: G3 PowerBook (Pismo)
Processor: PPC G3/400MHz
RAM: 1GB
HD: Toshiba ATA, 100GB
Installed OS (on external 4GB): Mac OS X Tiger v10.4.6
Installed OS (on internal 100GB): NONE (for now)
Optical drive: CD/DVD-ROM
Thank you for your assitance,
Michael
Hi Michael
You can't just copy a system in OS X, you need to use one of these programs to clone the drive;
SuperDuper

Carbon Copy Cloner

You can just install Tiger from scratch if you have a full retail disc.
