I have recently installed Flash Studio 8 on my PowerPC Mac 10.4.8, it includes SAFlashPlayer v8.0. Since installing I've had the option to export flv files from FCP. It does this successfully but when I move to open the flvs it activates the SAFlashPlayer v8.0 Player but my file won't open. It doesn't say it can't, its just know file window will open once the player is activated. The file is definitely created, any clues why this might be happening? It won't open in Flash 8 itself either.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi and welcome to macosx.com
Could you try to download VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html) and use this software to view the Flash file.
If VLC cannot, I guess that the file has not been well created, which is another problem.
But using VLC, we can discover if the problem is on the FlashPlayer side or on the export side.

Philippe

Hi Philippe,
I downloaded VLC, it's kind of a weird player, but it worked.
I take it this means there is something wrong with my SAFlashPlayer v8.0?

Well, VLC contains more codecs that QT does, that's why I always use VLC.
And yes, something going wrong with your player, but I cannot help you on this point. May I suggest to start a new question with SAFlashPlayer v8.0 as name to see if some tech is using this program - what I'm not- ?
Regards
Philippe
